Chengkun Ma is the director of RCDA and a professor as well as the founding director of the Graduate Institute of China Military Affairs Studies at the National Defense University. His research focuses on Chinese military and security strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from National Taiwan University. He also serves as an advisory member to both the Mainland Affairs Council and the Ocean Affairs Council.
